Frequently asked questions
Do I need riding experience to do the Ha Giang Loop?
No. We offer the option of riding pillion behind one of our experienced local "Easy Riders" — perfect for travellers without motorbike experience. If you choose to ride solo, we recommend at least basic motorbike experience.
How many people are in a group?
Our groups are kept small — maximum 8 travellers per English-speaking guide — to keep the experience personal and flexible.
What is the best time of year to visit Ha Giang?
September to November offers the best weather and golden rice terraces. March–April is buckwheat flower season. December–February is colder but stunning with mist and quiet roads.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that covers motorbike riding in Vietnam.
Can the tour be customized?
Absolutely! Contact us with your preferred dates, group size and interests and we will design a private tour just for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund if cancelled 7+ days before the tour. 50% refund if cancelled 3–6 days before. No refund for cancellations within 48 hours of the tour start.
How do I book a tour and what is the deposit?
Pick a tour from our website and submit the booking form, or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm availability within 24h and send a secure link to pay a 30 USD/person deposit. The deposit is non-refundable but transferable. Balance is paid in cash on arrival.
Can I customise an itinerary for our group?
Yes — many of our trips are custom-designed for families, couples, photographers, or rider groups with specific interests. Send us a message with your dates, group size and what you would love to see — we will reply with a tailored plan within 24 hours.

What guests say
Three days that felt like a month of memories. Our guide stopped at every viewpoint, made sure we tried every kind of local food, and even joined a wedding in a tiny mountain village. Unforgettable.
The most authentic motorbike tour I have done in Asia. Small group, fantastic English-speaking guide, and homestays that truly felt like home. Worth every dollar.
As a solo female traveller I felt safe and welcome from minute one. Ma Pi Leng Pass blew my mind, but the homestays with Tay families are what I will remember forever.
Booked the 4-day Plus package. Bikes were brand new, helmets and gear top quality, route stunningly designed. Our guide Hung was incredible — knowledgeable, kind and patient.
A perfect balance of riding, photo stops, local food and chilling at the homestay. The group of 6 was just right. Bottle of corn wine with the family in the evening — pure magic.
Beautiful tour, very well organised. The only minor thing was that the second-day road was wet from rain — but our guide handled it perfectly and we still made it safely. Highly recommend.
